To apply for any of our degree courses you will need to make an appointment to see one of our Higher Education Advisors. This can be done by contacting the University Centre via our email HEadmin@stmarysblackburn.ac.uk or by ringing 01254 580464.

You can start the application process for your chosen degree course straight away. We welcome prospective students for an informal interview, where guidance on degree courses, student and financial support is given. From October to June students are able to apply for their chosen degree course through on-line UCAS forms again under the guidance of Higher Education Advisors. The process changes after June, where students can apply through an application form.

Every step of the application process is overseen by Higher Educations advisors, who are on hand to offer support and guidance where needed.

Qualifications that are recognised by UCAS include A-Levels and BTEC National Diploma. For students over 21, other qualifications, professional training and experience may be considered. For subject specific requirements see course leaflets. For further information please speak to a Higher Education Advisor at the University Centre on 01254 580464.

There are a number of Loans and Grants that may be available for students who have not previously studied a Higher Education before.

For more information go to the Student Finance page or contact the University Centre on 01254 586982. You may also find it helpful to visit the Student Finance website at www.gov.uk/student-finance for further information.

If you are over 21 you may have the opportunity to take an alternative assessment, which if passed will allow you to gain entry onto your chosen degree course. This will be discussed during your appointment with a Higher Education Advisor.

For further information please contact us at the University Centre on 01254 580464.
