Overview

Our sport programmes cater for a wide range of abilities and attitudes.

The Sports Academy is for students who are serious about sport and have a talent for Football or Netball. The opportunity to compete in local, regional and national competitions is provided by our affiliation to the British Colleges Sport network of competitions. Within the College day there are numerous opportunities to get involved in team practices or recreational sport through our Sports Club programme.

The Sports Academy incorporates Netball and Football (male and female). Sports Academy students will be able to choose from a wide range of academic courses and be supported in their studies whilst receiving specialist coaching and training in their sport.

Team/Competitive sport is for students who wish to compete in sport and represent the College in the following; Football, Netball, Athletics, Badminton, Cricket, Cross Country,  Golf, Swimming, Table Tennis and Volleyball.

The Sports Club is for people who just love to play sport. Sign up for this if are interested in sport in general and feel that you can combine your studies with an active sports programme. You can take full advantage of our superb Sports Hall, Fitness Suite, Fitness Studio and playing fields on-site. The facilities have all been refurbished with the latest, high-tech equipment and are available to college students throughout the College day and the general public out of college hours.

Representing the College at sport or playing in a team is a great way to meet new friends but it is also a valuable addition on your CV for prospective employers and universities.

Many of our students (past and present) have represented their county, progressed onto university teams, played professionally or even gained scholarships at US universities.
