Student Transport
At SMC we offer a number of direct service buses to help you get in to College safely for our 16-19 students. These operate twice daily, i.e. in time for the start and finish of the College day (valid for term-time only).
LOOK OUT FOR OUR BUSES!

St. Mary’s College have signed a five year agreement with local bus company Moving People making them sole provider of transport for the College. We now offer FREE TRANSPORT to ALL STUDENTS on COLLEGE BUS ROUTES.

SMC DIRECT BUS SERVICES
All students using college transport must have their ID badges displayed on them to travel on the bus. Students will not be allowed to travel on the bus if they are not wearing their badge.Click on the links below for further details of our current route stops and timetables

REGULAR COMMERCIAL BUS SERVICES
Local to College - Blackburn Town Centre or the Outer Circle, etc.
Transdev Lancashire United offer tickets. These tickets give unlimited travel on the regular commercial bus services within the boundaries of Blackburn with Darwen and Hyndburn Boroughs.
spotOn
Those of you who require more flexible access to transport, including evenings and weekends, etc. may wish to look at information about spotOn bus services. Tickets are not valid for use on school or college contracted bus services.
spotOn Plus
These tickets have an extended area beyond the spotOn ticket boundaries above and include Clitheroe, Preston, Bolton and Haslingden.
spotOn tickets are available from the bus drivers or from the Customer Service Centre in Ainsworth Street, Blackburn.
REGULAR COMMERCIAL TRAIN SERVICES
From the Train Station in Blackburn Centre it is about 20 minutes uphill walk (or a short bus ride) to the College.
