Studying Law

Law plays a vital role in society. The law helps define a society's values and also provides a means to solve problems and disputes without resorting to violence. Knowledge of the law can give people more control over their lives and more confidence in their dealings with others.

Law is an increasingly popular subject at both Further and Higher Education. This is certainly true of St. Mary's where significant numbers of students are taking the subject. Each year many of those students progress on to Law (or related) courses at university and several ex-students are now working in the local area in professional legal positions.
