Studying History

The History department at St Mary's College offers students the opportunity to study either Medieval or Modern History at AS and A Level.

This enables students to choose an area of History which they may not have studied before, or to continue into greater depth with topics they might have covered at GCSE. You do not need to have studied History at GCSE to do History AS/A Level, and we welcome applications from students who are new to this subject, as long as they have a keen interest. (If you have studied History at GCSE the minimum requirement is a Grade C.)
