Studying English

The English Department is one of the largest in the College and is noted for its consistently successful results. A significant number of our students progress on to English degrees and we regularly place students at the top universities in the country.

We cater for all interests and levels with our four courses. Functional Skills English can help you prepare for GCSE study. Students who have already achieved a grade D in English are enrolled onto GCSE. AS/A Level students can choose from three options: English Language, English Literature and English Language and Literature combined.
